One of my favorite thing to do when I’m at the parks is to try new snacks! The Walt Disney World Resort has thousands of different snack options for guests to choose from and many guests can get overwhelmed with all the different varieties offered. Fortunately for you I have scoured the entire Walt Disney World Resort looking for the best snack options and after months of careful research, I have finally gathered up enough information to present to you my top 10 favorite snacks at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Top 10 Snacks
1. Dole Whip (Aloha Isle- Magic Kingdom): $4.49
The Dole Whip has always been my favorite snack on property and I looked everywhere for something to try and top this snack but nothing came close! For those of you who don’t know already, the Dole Whip is a non-dairy pineapple soft serve that is sold in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom. You can get it either in its original pineapple form, as a twist with vanilla ice cream and pineapple, or have it as a float where it is served with pineapple juice in the bottom. It has become a fan favorite and has since expanded to other locations such as POP century resort, the Polynesian, Disney Springs, and Animal Kingdom where it is served with rum in it. This is something I always make sure to grab on my trip because it is so good.

2. Mac & Cheese (Eight Spoons Cafรฉ- Animal Kingdom): $4.49
-with Pulled Pork $6.49
-with Shrimp and Sweet Chili Sauce $6.69
This particular snack I was just introduced to a couple weeks ago when I was with my friend Mariah at Animal Kingdom. The Mac & Cheese at Eight Spoons Cafรฉ is amazing and has a variety of different options to choose from. I opted for the Shrimp with Sweet Chili Sauce and I think it is one of the best Mac & Cheese dishes I’ve ever had. It’s located right across from where you can meet Minnie and Mickey at Animal Kingdom, and if you head over a bit there is a dining area right behind Flame Tree Barbeque where you can overlook Expedition Everest where you can sit down and enjoy your food that is out of the way of crowds.

3.Banana Nut Bread & Kona Coffee (Kona Island- Disney’s Polynesian Resort)
-Banana Macadamia Nut Bread $3
-Kona Coffee $3.40
I think I have already made it well known that one of my favorite places on property is Disney’s Polynesian Resort. On top of being a great hotel, it has so many fantastic dining options to choose from! One of my favorite things located here is their signature Kona coffee, a special Hawaiian blend that you can only get at their sit down dining location Kona or at the specialty coffee bar next door Kona Island. So when taking one of my many trips to Kona Island before hitting up the Magic Kingdom before work, I came across one of their pastries selections that changed my life. Kona Island’sย Bannana Nut Bread is the best thing I have ever had! So when you combine the two it is the best snack, or sometimes in my case breakfast, on your visit to the Polynesian or even a quick grab on your way to the Magic Kingdom.

4. Cheshire Cat Tail (Cheshire Cafรฉ- Magic Kingdom):$4.99
Another new snack that I came across was the Cheshire Cat Tail in Fantasyland. This snack is a chocolate chip filled croissant that has colorful frosting on it to represent the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. It is super good and if you love a good pastry like I do it is the perfect snack to grab if you need a little something sweet for the day.

5. Violet Lemonade (Outdoor Cart Pineapple Pomade- EPCOT)– $4.40
I was told by multiple people that the Violet Lemonade was something I must have during the Flower & Garden Festival and they weren’t wrong. This F&G festival signature drink is something I pick up every time I’m at EPCOT because it is that good! If you like frozen lemonade drinks than this is a perfect refreshment for you.ย It’s served at the Pineapple Pomade Outdoor Kitchen which is located right over on the right side entrance to Worldshowcase (over by Canada). It is a seasonal drink only sold for the Flower & Garden festival so make sure to look if F&G is still going on before you scour the entire park trying to find this purple drink.

6. Carrot Cake Cookie (Sweet Spells -Hollywood Studios) $3.99
Another fan favorite that I was told I had to try is the Carrot Cake Cookie over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This snack is made up of two carrot cake “cookies” with cream cheese icing in between them to make a snack that resembles an Ice Cream Sandwich. It is super good, however, super filling so I suggest either coming hungry or splitting it between two people.
**UPDATE – Sweet Spells has permanently closed to make way for a new Pixar store, but you can now find the Carrot Cake Cookie at The Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) on Hollywood Boulevard**

7. Sleepy Hollow Waffles (Sleepy Hollow- Magic Kingdom)
– Nutella Waffle Sandwich: $8.29
–Sweet & Spicy Chick Waffle Sandwich: $6.69
One of my favorite snacks to get at MK when I’m feeling a bit more hungry is the Waffles over at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. They have 2 signature waffles that they make, the Nutella Waffle Sandwich with fresh fruit and the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich. Both are delicious you just have to figure out if you are in the mood for sweet or savory.ย It is located to the left of Cinderella Castle by the entrance to Liberty Square from the hub and then it is over to the right. If you are taking the pathway to Fantasyland on the left-hand side of the castle you will pass it right by.

8. LeFou’s Brew & Cinnamon Roll (Gaston’s Tavern- Magic Kingdom)ย
-Lefou’s Brew: $5.79
-Warm Cinnamon Roll: $4.99
Another great place for snacks that is tucked away is Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland. Over by Be Our Guest lies Gaston’s Tavern where they have a small selection of snacks for people to chose from while back in the New Fantasyland area of the Magic Kingdom. One of their most popular snacks is the LeFou’s Brew which is a Frozen Apple Juice with Toasted Marshmallow and topped with All-Natural Passion Fruit-Mango Foam. To increase your snacking experience grab it with a warm cinnamon roll. I think this is my favorite place to actually sit down while snacking because there is lots of room for people and it is in an air-conditioned building with impeccable themeing.

9.ย Mickey Pretzel (Multiple Locations)
-Classic w/ cheese sauce: $5.69
-Cream Cheese filled: $4.79
-Pepper Jack filled: $4.79
Mickey Pretzels are one of the most iconic snacks at Disney! Everyone loves a good hot pretzel, so by making it Mickey shaped you would think that it would taste better? The answer is yes! These delicious treats can be found at multiple locations on property and can even be found in cream cheese and pepper jacked filled form! I have not tried the two flavored ones yet, but the classic is something that can’t be beaten. The one pictured below can be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Anaheim Produce stand on Sunset Boulevard

10.ย School Bread (Norway Pavillion- EPCOT) $3.49
On my attempt to snack around the world, I came across a very unique pastry in Norway, School Bread. This inexpensive snack option can be found at the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe at the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. School Bread isย sweet cardamom bun filled with vanilla creme custard and topped with glazed and toasted coconut. Unlike other pastries, it isn’t very sweet until you bite into its center which is filled with creme.

Even though this concludes my list, I still have another half of my program to go out and try new snacks. Like Disney World itself, this list may change time and time again, however, there is always room for improvements and new favorite to come along. Below I have included some honorable mentions that I have tried over my the course of my search. They didn’t make my list, but they are still good options for those looking for the perfect snack while staying here.
Honorable Mentions
- Turkey Leg (Liberty Square Market- Magic Kingdom) – $11.79

- Sprinkles Cupcake (Sprinkles- Disney Springs)– $4.95

- Pong Lumpia & Night Blossom (Pongu Pongu- (Pandora) Animal Kingdom)
-Pongu Lumpia Cream Cheese & Pineapple Spring Roll $2.99
–Night Blossom $5.99

- $5 Sushi (Japan Pavilion- EPCOT) $5

I would have thought that Pickled Pigs Feet would have at least made the honorable mention list.
