Kona Cafe Review

Ever since last November when I got the chance to explore it, I’ve been in love with Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Not only is the lobby gorgeous but it has one of the best locations on property with it being right across the lake from Magic Kingdom. Along with it being an amazing place to stay while on vacation, it is home to many tasty dining options. One of the many things on my Bucket List for my program was to eat breakfast at this resort and on Thursday I got to cross that off my list.

Kona Cafe is one of the Resorts sit down restaurants where they specialize in Polynesian inspired food. One of their more recognizable breakfast menu items is the Tonga Toast (which I ordered). Tonga Toast is a banana stuffed French toasted that is dusted in cinnamon sugar and is served with syrup and your choice of breakfast meat (bacon, sausage, or ham). Kona also is home to one of the best coffee roasts that I ever had. The fan favorite blend that is served at the Polynesian is called Kona blend which is a bold but smooth roast that is specific to the resort. You can actually order this coffee off of the Joffrey’s website and make this coffee right at home!

Not only is the food amazing but the entire atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel like you are vacationing on an island hideaway. Whenever I asked for dining recommendations from people I was always told that Kona was one of the best places on property to go for breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. I’m already looking forward to my next breakfast date there.
