Small Shops

One of the things that you’ll notice when coming to the Walt Disney World resort is that almost everyone likes to express themselves in their clothing. Whether that be by wearing a classic Mickey shirt, adding a pair of ears to their outfit, or even Disneybounding, it seems like every Disney fan likes to expand their style when traveling to the resort.

For a while, one of the only places to get Disney apparel was from your local Disney Store or grabbing apparel when you were visiting the parks. For years my family and I even use to get matching shirts done at a local shirteryย because we had limited resources as to where we could get Disney apparel. With the expansion of online shopping and mobile apps, crafters have taken to the internet and have made a business for creating custom apparel through stores like Etsy or Redbubble. More recently, the Disney community has come together through social media apps like Instagram and have started up businesses of their own that specialize in custom Disney apparel.

Some of my favorite small shops that specializeย in Disney themed apparel include the following:

This is one of my favorite stores right now! I have purchased from Oh Yeah on multiple occasions for both myself and for others. One of my favorite purchases from them is the “Go Live Your Dream” Tangled inspired shirt that I got for my sister Kelly for Christmas. I also have the “You are Never too Old to Wish Upon a Star” navy shirt as well, which is more subtly Disney if you don’t want something too flashy. On a completely different note, my new favorite shirt that they just restocked is the “Teacups Tee.” I love the bright colors and how fun this is!

Check them out below

Teacups Tee: $25.99

I am ashamed to say that I have not bought any t-shirts or merchandise from this shop yet! However, they have a bunch of shirts that they have just restocked that made myย list. More notable the “Hollywood Horror Story” shirt that incorporates the American Horror Story font into a Tower of Terror shirt. Like many shops, they started off as just as people who loved going to the parks and wanted to have something fun to wear when the went. Their website states that the

“The Lost Bro’s started as our way to express our style and interests without compromise. We were two avid park goers who wanted to start documenting our adventures, sharing our tips for the parks, and connecting with people who shared our passion for the magic. Designing our own clothing for the parks that we loved and felt were culturally relevant seemed like the logical first step.”

Some of my favorites include:

Drinking Around the World Tour (Black): $24

Hollywood Horror Story Tee: $24

This small shop, like many, started off on Etsy as a way to express their Disney Style. Right now they are in their 2nd year of business where they now have their own studio where the screen print their own shirts by hand. According to their website:

“At Main Street Press Inc.ย , we’re all about bringing magically inspired pieces of our favorite parks into every day street style. Combining our professional and technical skills with our love for Disney, we spend much time designing original and unique apparel fans can identify with. We hope our products bring a little extra magic to your memories!”

Some of my favorite pieces that they sell on their site include:

Everest Explorers: $25-$27

Mountain Ears: $25-27

Meet Me at the People Mover 3/4 Sleeve: $28
