As I’ve said before, Walt Disney World is a huge place with so many things to do and see. It can be very overwhelming for first-time guests, especially when they have a limited time frame. This week I used one of my complimentary tickets and got to bring my Aunt Shann to the Parks for the day. Technically, this isn’t here first time visiting Walt Disney World, but it’s been over 20 years since she’s been so I feel like I needed to cover the essentials with her.

So to anyone who is taking first-time guests, below I have included a list that I believe to be the Must Do’s for each park

Must Do’s

Magic Kingdom

• Pirates of the Caribbean
• The Haunted Mansion
• It’s a Small World
• Space Mountain
• The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover
• Buzzlightyear Space Ranger Spin
• A picture in front of Cinderella Castle
• Meet either Mickey Mouse (or) one of the Disney Princesses
• Dole Whip (or) Mickey Ice Cream Bar

EPCOT

• Spaceship Earth
• Soarin
• Walk around World Showcase
• Club Cool
• Disney Character Spot
• Try a new food or drink at one of the pavilions in World Showcase

Hollywood Studios

• Star Tours
• The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
• Meet the Characters of Star Wars at Star Wars Launch Bay (for Star Wars Fans)
• Toy Story Midway Mania
• Try the Carrot Cake Cookie

Animal Kingdom

• Kilimanjaro Safari
• Expedition Everest
• Walking around and exploring Pandora
• DINOSAUR

Disney Springs

• World of Disney

• Walking around the new Marketplace area

When we went, we only had one day to explore so we were able to do the must do’s for the Magic Kingdom & EPCOT because those were the two that were the most important for us to hit. However, everyone has different opinions and views on what they want to do when they visit Disney World for the first time. Some people only want to do the Magic Kingdom because it is the original park and there is so much to do there. Likewise, some other people would argue that they don’t want to have to deal with those lines and rather go to EPCOT and eat and drink around the world. Some people might be huge Star Wars fans and if they only have one day to visit a park they will want to go to Hollywood Studios because that is the only place on property where you can meet people from the world of Star Wars. A lot of factors depend on if you want to spend the extra money on a park hopper or if someone in your party wants to visit another park.
